About Us

Cumbia with a Mexican Jarocho flavor, Guachinangos features members from diverse cultural backgrounds. The band fuses Mexican son jarocho with Colombian cumbia and other Latin American rhythms. Their exciting instrumentation and electrifying stage energy invites anybody to enjoy, sing and move to the rhythm of the music.

Our Work

Guachinangos Youth Academy

We partner with local migrant communities in New York and Philadelphia to offer free music classes to Latinx youth with the objective of increasing their confidence, self-expression, connection with their community and pride in understanding their home culture and cultural identity.

We implement Guachinangos Youth Academy in partnership with Juntos, a community-led, nonprofit, Latinx immigrant organization in South Philadelphia fighting for human rights as workers, parents, youth, and immigrants. VAMOS JUNTOS
